Goodbye for Nau

Sad to see you go. The popular outdoor-cum-urban clothing maker Nau is shuttering their doors.
It is with deep sadness that we announce today that Nau, Inc. will immediately begin the process of winding down its business operations. In the current highly risk-averse capital market, we simply could not raise the necessary funds to move forward.
Definitely disappointing. Nau was doing an excellent job - or at least it appeared that way - of carving out a unique niche in the market that lived somewhere between the die-hard outdoor enthusiast and the urban jungle-ite. In many ways, their environmentally conscious practices and range of clothing remind me very much of Patagonia.
The upside of their closing (if there is one) is that everything on their site is on sale half off. You won’t get a warranty presumably, but how often do you use it on your jeans anyway?
