One of my favorite thrift stores in the hood is Atlantis Attic on Metropolitan Ave. (Btw Graham/Humbolt). It has a huge selections, in terms of size. I recently bought a really funky belt for only 10 bucks!!
Other store I sometimes go to is Housing works in Greenwich village. (They do sell clothes! You just have to look.)
Amarcord Vintage store on Bedford has really nice vintage Italian men clothing but expensive.
Also, you can check out the store 10ft. Single by Stella Dallas on north 6th St (btw Havemeyer St & Meeker Ave) They got great selection of boots and affordable men's clothing. Love it!

There's an ENORMOUS thrift store around the corner from my apt and I always find great things in there. My last purchase from there was a cute little black vest for $5! The name of the place is Urban Jungle and it's located in Bushwick, Brooklyn on Knickerbocker Avenue @ Flushing Ave. Another good one is Vice Versa on Bedford Avenue (next to NYC Pet). Found one of my favorite pairs of boots there for $20.
