Fontifier: Your handwriting as a font

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

fontifierWith the number of documents that get passed around these days as digital files rather than hard copies, it’s amazing that something like this hasn’t come along earlier. Imagine being able to add your actual signature to digital docs without have to sign and scan or use something like photoshop to add a pre-scanned signature to the document.

Fontifier, a new web-based software, promises just that in a few easy steps. Print out their template, fill in the blanks with a good old pen, scan it back in, and upload it to their system. They’ll do the conversion for you and then for just nine bucks, you can download your own font file!

Pretty sweet! Pretty easy. And certainly has its uses, especially for a whopping $9. They have some examples, including a “dingbats” version, here.
